Course Outline
The race will begin and end at Sturges Park.
Participants will swim in the fresh waters of Buffalo Lake, bike past
up to nine other lakes through the rolling farmland of Wright County
and will finish with a run along the shores of Buffalo Lake .

The Sprint Race Course will include:
1/4 mile swim
12 mile bike
3 mile run
Swim Route
Participants will swim out along the shore of Buffalo Lake where they will swim a rectangle shape returning to the shore to exit the water.
Bike Route
The 12-mile bike route starts at Sturges Park and travels south on Hwy 25 to 17th Street, west, and continues to Montrose Blvd. where bikers will turn left and go south. At county Road 108 the route goes west for another 2 and 1⁄2 miles. At County Road 9, bikers travel north for one mile. The route continues north from County Road 9, crossing over County Road 35 onto County Road 109. It follows County Road 109 for 1 1⁄2 miles. *From there, the Sprint route heads east, back to Buffalo following County Road 35. The route turns right onto Division and Highway 25 going south through Buffalo until Sturges Park is reached.
Run Route
Runners will head out along Buffalo Lake to Highway 35. Runners will follow the lakeshore and will turn around at the 1.6 mile mark heading back to the finish line.
The Olympic Race Course will include:
1.5k (.9mile) swim
40k (24.8 mile) bike
10k (6.2 mile) run

Participants will swim out along the shore of Buffalo Lake where they will swim a rectangle shape returning to the shore to exit the water.
Bike Route

The 24.8-mile bike route starts on the same path as the Sprint route until it reaches the Co Rd 9/ County Road 35 intersections. at that intersection, the long route continues North from Co Rd 9 onto Co Rd 109, it follows Co Rd 109 for 1 1⁄2 miles. At Co Rd 124 (15th street) the route takes the only left turn of the route to head West for 2 miles to Co Rd 8. It follows Co Rd 8 North 2 1⁄2 to 3 miles where bikers will take a sharp Right, heading southeast, onto Co Rd 9 (Eldridge Ave NW). Bikers will follow Co Rd 9 until it meets up with Co Rd 35. Bikers will start a loop around Abby Lake by heading southwest on Co Rd 35 then traveling North on Co Rd 109 and heading East back onto Co Rd 9. Where Co Rd 9 meets up with Co Rd 35, bikers will continue on Co Rd 35 back to Buffalo. The route turns right onto Division and Highway 25 going south through Buffalo until Sturges Park is reached.
Run Route
Runners will head out along Buffalo Lake to Highway 35. Runners will follow the lakeshore, into Westcliff and will turn around at the cemetery to head back to the finish line.
