Course Outline
The race will begin and end at Sturges Park.
Participants will swim in the fresh waters of Buffalo Lake, bike past
up to nine other lakes through the rolling farmland of Wright County
and will finish with a run along the shores of Buffalo Lake .

The Sprint Race Course will include:
1/4 mile swim
12 mile bike
3 mile run
Swim Route
Participants will swim out along the shore of Buffalo Lake where they will swim a rectangle shape returning to the shore to exit the water.
Bike Route
The 12-mile bike route starts at Sturges Park to Montrose Blvd(HW 12),
where bikers will turn right and go south. At county Road 108 the route
goes west for another 2 miles. At County Road 9, bikers travel north
(right turn) for one mile. It follows County Road 109 for 2 miles.
From there, the Sprint route heads east (right turn), back to Buffalo
following County Road 35. The route turns right onto Division
and Highway 25 going south through Buffalo until Sturges Park is reached.
Run Route
Runners will head out along Buffalo Lake to Highway 35. Runners will follow the lakeshore and will turn around at the 1.6 mile mark heading back to the finish line.
The Olympic Race Course will include:
1.5k (.9mile) swim
40k (24.8 mile) bike
10k (6.2 mile) run
Swim Route
Participants will swim out along the shore of Buffalo Lake where they will swim a rectangle shape returning to the shore to exit the water.
Bike Route
The 24.8-mile bike route starts on the same path as the Sprint route
until it reaches the Co Rd 9/ County Road 35 intersections at that intersection,
the long route turns left onto Co Rd 124 (15th St. NW) for 2.0 miles
until the T intersection. At the T the long course turns right onto
Co Rd 8 for 1.4 miles, then turns left at Co Rd 132 (28th St. NW) out to Co Rd 7, then left heading south on 7 for .4 miles, then rturning the same route back to Co Rd 8. After returning back to the intersection of Co
Rd 132 and Co Rd 8 racers will take a left turn and continue for 0.5
mile. The course will turn right on Co Rd. 109 (Eldridge Ave.) for 3.2
miles to the intersection where Co Rd 9 meets up with Co Rd 35, bikers
will continue on Co Rd 35 back to Buffalo. The route turns right onto
Division and Highway 25 going south through Buffalo until Sturges Park
is reached.
Run Route
Runners will head out along Buffalo Lake to Highway 35. Runners will follow the lakeshore, into Westcliff and will turn around at the cemetery to head back to the finish line.
