June 5th, 2011
Awesome weather greeted over 1400 triathletes for a spectacular day of racing on a temporary new bike course which proved fast with calm winds and totally cloudless skies. 2011 made for record speeds being set in all divisons, and the largest elite field yet battled veteran Chris Legh who remained undefeated on the Olympic course.

June 6th, 2010
After a thorough rain soaking during set-up on Saturday, record numbers of volunteers were out in force Sunday to greet over 1200 smiling athletes enjoying a beautiful day of racing. Witnessing an ever increasingly competitive elite field, the 2010 Buffalo Triathlon also marked the creation of the Buffalo Tri Club and the Tri-4-Your-Cure Foundation.

June 7th, 2009
Despite record cold weather, most all of the over 1600 registered athletes still showed up to do their best to stay warm and try and get feeling back to their feet on the run after biking in air temps 20 degrees cooler than the water! 2009 also brought Buffalo to the world stage, with 70.3 World Champion Terenzo Bozzone winning amongst an increasingly competitive elite field.

June 1st, 2008
The real star of the 2008 race was the weather, with glassy water and crystal blue skies greeting the 1500 registered athletes for a great day of racing and the debut of Minnesota's first Aquathon. Returning champion Chris Legh set a new course record on the revised Olympic bike course.

June 3rd, 2007
2007 drew an increasingly competitive field of 20 elite racers, including returning champion Chris Legh, with a record 1300 age group racers registered, including both 2 and 3 person teams, making it the second largest triathlon in MN. Despite threatening skies, nearly 1100 participants enjoyed cool, dry conditions with only some light rain during the run for some racers.

June 4, 2006
2006 drew two top professional athletes from opposite ends of the glode, and expanded the age group field to over 900 athletes, including new team competition. Unseasonable warm weather preceding the race made for a comfortable swim, and record numbers of spectators and volunteers were on hand for a great day of racing. View the 2006 Photo Album.

June 5, 2005
2005 brought double the competitors; professionals, elites and amateurs alike. With two brand new courses, favorable weather conditions (it wasn't raining) almost 800 athletes and hundreds of volunteers and spectators, the event was a success. View the 2005 Photo Album.

June 6, 2004
2004 was the first Buffalo Triathlon event. Hundreds of spectators came to watch and cheer on the over 400 athletes that competed. View the 2004 Photo Album.
